With well over 350 franchises across the UK there's a lot of people to meet!
Our franchisees are the biggest single strength this business has - and we have massive diversity of experience in our network. Our franchisees range in age from 27 to 68, with pretty much everything in between. Some of our original franchisees did this on a part-time basis but increasingly the most successful franchisees are those for whom thebestof is their main business on which they spend most, if not all, of their time.
One thing we have learned over the last 3 years is that the biggest single factor in determining the success of a local site is the franchisee. In particular, their attitude and ability to build rapport with people, coupled with how they manage their time.
We have sites that previously struggled and that are now flourishing because they were taken over by the right person.
Not all our franchisees welcomed the changes that we introduced in July 2007 (although most did!). These changes took thebestof from being a one dimensional 'web advertising' business into something much richer, more powerful, more relevant and more useful for local people. Most importantly, those changes have provided you with a uniquely strong proposition on which you can build a hugely successful business.
